Arian Torabi

Arian Torabi is an entrepreneur and operations leader based in Nashville, Tennessee. He helps run a group of construction and service companies known as the Modern family of businesses. These companies work on both public and private projects, and Arian focuses on making sure everything runs smoothly—from the office to the job site.

 

Arian’s story began far from where he is today. He was born in Iran, and when he was young, his family fled the country to escape persecution. They came to the United States with almost nothing and had to start over from scratch. Growing up, Arian learned the importance of hard work, discipline, and taking responsibility—lessons that continue to shape how he works and leads today.

At 19, Arian got his first job at a local auto dealership. He started in an entry-level position but quickly stood out by solving problems, staying focused, and putting in consistent effort. He didn’t wait for a title—he earned trust by delivering results. That job sparked his interest in operations and business.

Over time, Arian teamed up with his family to grow what is now the Modern brand. He worked in the field, learned each part of the business, and built systems that helped the companies grow. Today, he leads operations across multiple divisions in industries like construction and HVAC, making sure teams are efficient, clear on their goals, and set up for long-term success.
